There is but One Constant in life…Change.

“There were people who went to sleep last night,
poor and rich and white and black,
but they will never wake again.

And those dead folks would give anything at all
for just five minutes of this weather
or ten minutes of plowing.

So you watch yourself about complaining.

What you’re supposed to do
when you don’t like a thing is change it.
If you can’t change it,
change the way you think about it.”
― Maya Angelou

Democracy.
In a perfect world with perfect people…in a perfect society where every citizen behaves perfectly, there in that fantasy land one would find Perfection.
Welcome to the imperfect reality of your life. You can not always have your way folks, Our Nation, The United States of America is, after all a Democracy.
We have established laws by which we must abide in order to continue to live our lives with the freedoms and liberties we are so truly blessed to have as our right in this great nation.
We are allowed to say what we feel, think and what we believe without fear. We have the right to protest in a PEACEFUL manner those things that we do not agree with. That is one of the most amazing gifts we have as Americans.
We do not have the right to harm our fellow citizens, nor do we have the right to destroy, disrespect or desecrate the United States Flag, EVER.
I am shocked and truly sickened by the violence and complete disrespect shown by my fellow Americans who are protesting the results of our presidential election.
The absolutely sickening behavior of some of our fellow citizens obviously has nothing to do with protesting the results of the election and everything to do with those who thrive on chaos and violence and civil unrest. The senseless violence is proof of this.
I was upset when President Obama was re-elected in 2012. I had given him a chance in 2008 to lead my country in a positive and successful way. I chose to not vote for him in 2012. Rather than scream and yell and stomp my feet or hurt my fellow citizens or disrespect the American Flag or attack the police in a fit of rage, I did what any citizen in a Democratic Society has a responsibility to do when the candidate that they voted for does not win an election. I accepted it.
I am an American citizen. I am one part of a wonderfully diverse group of people from all walks of life. A group of people who are various colors, shapes and sizes. People who love whomever they choose, and people who worship the God of their understanding whom are given the right to worship as they choose.
I was taught from a very young age to respect the American Flag. I learned about the sacrifices made by those who had come before me. They put there very lives on the line to protect our people, our country and the sanctity of Democracy. The American Flag is a living reminder to all Americans…It is raised with gratitude and respect in their honor. The many who have fought and died for our freedom.
Our Veterans, and those who currently serve are true heroes. Thank you for your service and your sacrifice.
Those who would burn the flag to protest the results of an election should have their citizenship revoked as far as I am concerned.
You are upset with the results and that is your right, but you have NO right to disrespect our Democracy nor those who have fought to protect it.
I have received many emails this week, which I am sure are form letters sent to millions of Americans after the election results were released to the public. The words I have read in these emails and the call to action contained within them are definitely contributing to  the violence and chaos of these anti-American protests. The hysteria that has led to the increasingly VIOLENT protests in our cities has to stop now.
Two policeman are dead and many Americans injured by this senseless and pointless violence.
This behavior is inexcusable and NOT what our Democracy is about.
To these “organizations pumping out this propaganda, you need to really take a look at your anti-democratic rhetoric and the damage you are doing to our citizens and our country.
You should be ashamed of yourselves as human beings and more so as those who allegedly are champions of Democracy in the Untied States of America.
Somehow, our citizens as well as our government have allowed the LAW to become a grey area in certain circumstances and for some people. When the lines OF THE LAW become blurred, we tend to forget that the Rule of LAW is non-negotiable.

Many protesters are raising their voices against the deportation of Illegal immigrants. I am not sure when the words ILLEGAL IMMIGRANT were changed to UNDOCUMENTED WORKER, but I can assure you that even I, a lay person with no legal training or formal education of THE LAW know what the word ILLEGAL means. As far as I am concerned, ILLEGAL still means the same thing as it has for the fifty years I have been alive: Not Legal or CRIMINAL.

I have been to Mexico and my heart goes out to the families who are forced to live in such poverty while their government lives like royalty. It is a horrible situation and one that needs to be resolved now. Rather than spending so much time and energy trying to change the LAW of the United States regarding ILLEGAL IMMIGRATION and deporting those who are not here LEGALLY,  perhaps you use your energy and resources to work WITH our President-Elect in finding a solution that will force the Mexican Government to stop violating its citizen’s human rights.

The government of Mexico could be sanctioned and held accountable for its horrible treatment of its people and the unlivable conditions they are made to suffer in.

This is a plausible solution that may to rectify the situation of so many Mexican people entering the USA illegally

We have hundreds of thousands of Americans, homeless families and Veterans living on the streets of our cities. They need the resources and jobs  to get off the streets and become productive American citizens again.

They are our Nation’s priority, PERIOD.

When our citizens and our Veterans needs are met, when they no longer must sleep in the  freezing cold streets of our cities and towns, then we can offer assistance to others who are in need.

Today, we need take care of our own.

I implore you to stop attacking President-elect Trump. He deserves the respect and dignity afforded any other United States Citizen. Until you cease the divisive tactics and Anti-Trump propaganda, we will never heal our nation. The UNITED STATES of AMERICA

God Bless America.Thank You To All Who Have Served and who.currently served
